Eligibility for Membership – PEACE Academy

​

Membership in the PEACE Academy is open to healthcare professionals and individuals who share our commitment to advancing pediatric education, research, and clinical excellence across continents.

​

We welcome members from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on inclusivity, collaboration, and capacity-building.

​

Categories of Eligibility

​

1.  Pediatricians (General and Subspecialists)

• Certified pediatricians holding a valid medical license in their country of practice.

• Pediatric subspecialists in fields such as neonatology, pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, etc.

           

2.   Pediatric Trainees and Residents

• Physicians currently enrolled in pediatric residency or fellowship programs.

• Must provide proof of enrollment or recommendation letter from program director.

 

3.  Medical Students Interested in Pediatrics

• Final-year medical students with a demonstrated interest in pediatric care.

• Admitted as associate or student members with free membership

 

4.  Allied Health Professionals

• Nurses, physiotherapists, nutritionists, and other professionals actively involved in pediatric care.

 

5.  Researchers and Academics in Child Health

• Individuals with academic or research roles in pediatrics, public health, rare diseases, or preventive medicine.

6.  Honorary Membership (by Invitation)

• Distinguished professionals, global advocates, or leaders in child health who support the academy’s mission.

• Selected by the Board of directory.

 

  

 

Affiliate Membership

Eligibility

​

Pediatric associations, societies, academic institutions, or nonprofit organizations that:

• Are officially registered in their country.

• Work in the field of pediatrics child health, or pediatric education.

• Share the values and objectives of PEACE Academy.

• Are willing to engage in collaborative activities (education, research, capacity building, advocacy).

Rights & Benefits

• Representation on advisory panels or at international meetings.

• Priority invitations to co-organize conferences, workshops, and research projects.

• Visibility on the PEACE Academy website (logo, link, and profile).

•  Access to shared educational resources and collaborative tools.

• Opportunity to nominate members for awards or speaker roles.

 

Application Process

1.   Submit a formal Letter of Interest on official letterhead.

​

2.   Include:

• Brief profile of the organization.

• Description of shared goals or past relevant activities.

• Name of liaison representative.

 

3. Application reviewed by the PEACE Academy Directory Board.
 

Annual Commitment

• Annual fees ($ 2.0 per member from the institution)

• Encouraged to participate in at least one collaborative activity per year

Affiliate Membership Eligibility (Pediatric Hospitals, Institutions and Organizations)

​

Affiliate membership is open to organizations actively involved in the care, education, or advancement of pediatric health. Eligible entities include, but are not limited to:

• Pediatric hospitals and children’s medical centers

• General hospitals with pediatric departments

• Academic institutions offering pediatric education or research

•  Healthcare organizations and NGOs working in maternal and child health

•  Medical research centers focusing on pediatric diseases

 

To qualify for affiliate membership, institutions must:

1. Demonstrate a commitment to improving child health and pediatric education.

2. Be legally recognized and operating in accordance with the laws of their country.

3. Nominate at least one official representative to participate in PEACE Academy activities.

4. Support the values and mission of the PEACE Academy, including collaboration, knowledge sharing, and equitable access to pediatric care.

 

What PEACE Academy Offers Affiliate Members

Affiliate institutions will receive:

• Recognition as a partner institution on the PEACE Academy website and publications

• Priority invitations to participate in international conferences, summits, and workshops

• Opportunities to co-host events or scientific activities under PEACE Academy umbrella

• Access to educational resources, pediatric training materials, and expert networks

• Eligibility to collaborate on research, public health campaigns, and disease screening programs

• Opportunities to nominate speakers, submit abstracts, and contribute to academic initiatives

• Enhanced visibility and networking with pediatric leaders across continents

 

What We Expect from Affiliate Members

We encourage affiliate members to:

• Actively engage in scientific and educational collaborations

• Promote PEACE Academy programs within their local and regional networks

• Nominate speakers, researchers, or participants for PEACE Academy events

• Share updates on their institutional activities related to pediatrics

• Uphold ethical standards in pediatric care, education, and advocacy
